Christmas Tree Disposal in Germany
Despite living here for almost half a year ( still can’t believe that I’ve lived this long away from home), it never hit me on how my neighbors would dispose of their Christmas tree come the new year. I mean, back in the states, we just left it in our front yard next to our trash bins and the garbage man would swing by and pick it up and dispose of it respectively along with the brown bin yard waste contents. Since most apartment residents have community trash bins, not all Christmas trees can fit in the bins. As such, the Germans get pretty creative with how they get rid of their pine/fir needle bearing trees. Here is my compilation of lonely, sad Christmas tree abandonments. Unfortuantely, the most mundane one witnessed (one tree on the car hood and roof) was not captured due to the maturity of this post idea coming up way later in the game.
